my ideas on a new and improved qwitter

So here are my ideas for the new and improved qwitter. How about having group bubbers? Like one buffer for the friends you care lots about such as close friends/family, Another buffer for the important tweeters such as @gleeks, @breakingnews or things like that, and a third buffer for those people you enjoy following but you wouldn't want to be bombarded with their 200 tweets a day kind of thing. If you can control who's tweets you receive on your phone, it shouldn't be too difficult to implement perminant buffers like those listed above. Any thoughts?

-- I don't belong to a qwitter list so if anyone would like to pass along my ideas, that would be great. I'd love to see this happen but don't even know if it is possible. I love to follow a lot of people but end up removing them because as much as I love them, 200 tweets a day does get a bit much. It's all good... I post a bunch of tweets like that too so I know I too am guilty of this. To get back to the point of this topic, I would love to categorize my tweets received. :) Thanks all for reading and happy tweeting.

Hmmm, this is a good one. It'd be nice to be able to sort things like this. But since I'm not involved in the making of Qwitter, I have no idea if it would even be possible. However, I know who is, so I'll make sure they see this.

It's a good suggestion, one that I hope to see myself; I think the easiest way to have this done is for qwitter lists to be implemented. This is a project that has been worked on by one qwitter dev in particular, though from what he's said to me, the way twitter made lists work is a bit odd.
So, the short answer to what you're asking is: the ability will make it in, someday.
On a side note, if you have suggestions, often the best way to get them noticed is by posting them to the bug tracker at http://trac.qwitter-client.net

If you want those features feel free to contribute patches. You can learn everything you need at

That would be cool...
Maybe we could change soundcards too? I've got a USB headset that doesn't set itself as default, and I don't want the sounds booming through my stereo speakers lol

and a way to view the reply to a tweet, still in the same buffer, so it doesn't jump you to the mention's buffer...

I might have misunderstood the former post but I don't have that problem. I can view replies in the same buffer. Maybe you didn't upgrade to the latest version? I am using the latest beta version and love it.
